Dayna Smith is a compassionate counselling psychologist offering personalised therapy services to individuals (children, adults, and older persons), couples, and families. Dayna's individual therapy sessions are tailored to address specific concerns, mental health struggles, and life challenges, collaborating with clients to work towards your therapeutic goals.

Dayna works with a wide range of age groups including children (ages 5+), adolescents, adults, and older persons. 

Couples

Couples therapy with Dayna focuses on enhancing communication, building trust, and strengthening relationships in a neutral and supportive environment.

Family

Family therapy processes with Dayna aim to improve dynamics, resolve conflicts, and strengthen bonds by promoting understanding and effective communication.

The Therapy Space

The therapy space includes comfortable seating, natural lighting, and a calm colour palette. This room has been designed to be a safe, warm, and tranquil space for clients.

The play corner is a place of fun, learning, and interaction. This space is used therapeutically for play therapy, activities, and rapport building. 

The practice and the therapy space are wheelchair-accessible and located in the heart of Claremont.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept medical aid?

Absolutely. I work with both medical aid and cash-paying clients. Medical aid and cash rates differ slightly and will be shared when you contact me.

I work with an amazing accounts and administrative team who will assist you throughout the process and answer any questions you may have about payment.

How can I schedule an appointment?

I am to make the appointment-setting process as seamless as possible. All you need to do to start this process (which can be the most daunting part) is to open the 'contact' form, fill it in, and I will get back to you. 

What can I expect during a therapy session?

During a therapy session with me, you can expect a safe and confidential environment where you can openly discuss your thoughts and feelings. I listen attentively, offer guidance, and work collaboratively with you toward your therapy goals.

There is no pressure to be anyone other than yourself in the space.
